Ghaggar is flowing above the danger mark and overflowing canals have led to breaches at many places.In Sangrur, Punjab,a dam built over the Ghaggar river collapsed on Thursday,which has flooded fields located between Makrod Sahib and Phulad villages.

Badi Nadi river which flows through Patiala is also in spate.It has flooded Gopal Colony area where people are spending sleepless nights.Ghaggar has also flooded Pantra and Ghanour areas.Flood water has submerged standing paddy crop in nearly a dozen villages including Bhunerhedi village of Patiala district.

Railway tracks at Doad station on the Ferozepur-Fazilka section have been submerged after heavy rainfall in the area.Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has announced that all skools will remain closed on Tuesday as threat of floods loom over the state.Punjab has declared red alert as retreating monsoons wreaked havoc in the region.Disaster Control Rooms in Punjab have been told to be on standby,as was the Army.

Two days of heavy and continuous rainfall has thrown Himachal into chaos as well beas river is in spate,leading to flood in various parts of Himachal Pradesh.Road networks have been disrupted as a result in various parts of Himachal,disrupting traffic.Dekho punjab de skoola da ki haal karta paani ne te hun bache kida parnge.
