Watch What Bikram Majithia Saying

Belying the claims of good governance by the government, senior Akali leader Bikram Majithia on Saturday slammed the Congress for “misleading voters on all counts”. Majithia said those who had drafted its poll manifesto needed to be questioned.“The governance in Congress’ two-year period has been a disaster. Be it loan debt waiver scheme, giving unemployment allowance of Rs 2,500 per month and job melas, the Congress failed voters on all fronts, he alleged, adding that instead of shunning VIP culture the Congress ministers were resorting to the contrary. He said the rozgar mela had turned out to be a complete farce. While the youths were being offered lowly-paid jobs in the private sector, the government was making big claims on this front, he claimed. The Congress had failed to implement any of the poll promises made by it in its manifesto prior to the 2017 state Assembly elections, Majithia said.
