19-Year-Old Indian Student Missing After Falling Into Niagara River

A 19 year old Indian student went missing after drowning in Niagara River.On June 8 Sameer Siraj Patel along with his friends had gone for a hike and stopped to take photos on a rock.Uniform members for the 2 District Niagara Falls office of the Niagara Regional Police and Niagara Parks Police responded to the area.

The circumstances remain under investigation by 2 District Niagara Falls detectives.Foul play is not suspected.As per reports Sameer does not have any immediate family member in Canada.He is an international student studying Health Sciences at Brock University St.Catherines in Ontario.Police say they are investigating and the search is set to continue with the marine unit combing the river while Niagara Parks Police and Niagara Helicopters carry out aerial scans.
